Special Books Order
We are more than happy to special order English language resources at cost for library patrons.
With discounts we receive directly from many Christian publishers, the cost for many new books including shipping is usually about the same price you would pay retail.
We also have sources for out of print and good quality used books.
Shipping can take from 6-10 weeks depending on availability and method of shipping used. We will try and use the cheapest and quickest possible means possible.
There is no cost for searches so if you are interested in a particular book, please let us know and we will do our best to find it for you.
Reference Desk
We are able to provide helpful information including bibliographic summaries of available library resources as well as other sources for information in the following areas:
- Biblical studies
- Marriage and family
- Parenting
- Leadership training
- Christian education
- Church history
- Christian living
- Children's resources
We can also help with:
- Bibliographical and literature searches
- Special informational needs
- Links to other sites
Meeting Room
Our large meeting room as well as other spaces in the library are available for use by outside groups. Priority will be given to lectures, workshops and other activities compatible with the overall purpose of the library. Please feel free to contact the library for more details including availability and rates.
Remote Location Servies
The development of this web site represents a beginning which we hope will allow patrons and potential users to more easily access information about the library -- our catalog as well as library services.
We are continuing to seek ways that we may be of greater service to the broader Christian community including those who live outside of Prague. With limited resources we desire to seek creative solutions to meeting a variety of informational needs. We are open to suggestions and ideas.
Other English Language Libraries
We are currently involved in developing a consortium of English language libraries in the Czech Republic and while inter-library loans are not currently available, please contact the following libraries for further information regarding available resources.
In some cases, borrowing privileges are limited to on-site use or those who are full time students at the particular institution.
