Opportunities are available at the library in the following areas:
Acquisitions - completing processing slips for newly acquired books, picking up book shipments from the post office Processing - labeling books and videos, covering books, putting date due slips and library stamp in books Circulation - helping at the front desk, re-shelving books Maintenance - cleaning shelves, dusting books and washing windows Public relations - help with mailings for special events, distribute brochures Special events - helping with story hour or other special kids activities So if you would like to help out a couple hours a week, once a month or even just once, we can use your help. Please contact the library for more information.
New or used books in good condition, with few if any markings as well as videos and other resources are welcome.
Inclusion in the library collection remains the final decision of the library administration and must also fit within the established and approved library selection guidelines for content and the overall needs. Any books which we do not include may be donated to other libraries or in some cases given to individuals who may be able to best use them. Financial contributions towards the purchase of books or other resources or for the overall operating expenses of the library are always welcome. Please contact the library for more information.
